A personal trainer can be a great way to learn healthy behaviors and incorporate positivity into your life and build your confidence. This is important for both adults and children and that is why we offer sessions for both.

Each of the classes shown below for Private, Semi-Private or Small Group Sessions are available NOW for booking. Class times are limited, so please book now to avoid disappointment.

Some sad facts……

We all know physical activity and exercise can deeply impact long-term health. As fitness professionals, we have an important role in supporting children in our communities in staying active, while helping their physical, mental, social, and emotional development.

 

  • The next generation of youth is already regarded by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology as being at increased risk for premature death and disability due to sedentary behavior.
  • Their habits have been greatly influenced by the proliferation and convenience of multimedia and technology.
  • Research has shown that attitudes about body shape and size may start as early as three or four years old for young children.
  • This trend continues into adolescence, with one Mental Health Foundation survey finding that among young people aged 13–19, 35% said their body image causes them to ‘often’ or ‘always’ worry.

 

We want to help these kids grow up to love themselves and their bodies and be fearless.

That’s why we have developed some programs specific to this need. A personal trainer can be a great way to learn healthy behaviors that will last a lifetime for some kids. We need to start to make the change as early as possible.

Personal Training Sessions for Youth

One to One Individual Sessions

Group training isn’t for everyone, especially the shy and quiet type, and we get that. Maybe they aren’t ready to join a small group but want to start off one on one. If that’s the case, individual sessions would be the answer! We find this is a good way to get started and then can transition into a paired session or group session once their confidence builds

Semi-Private (Paired) Sessions

Sometimes life is better with your ride and dies by your side. Maybe your child needs a buddy to encourage their efforts. Exercising with a friend or loved one can make it more fun, and increase your chances of sticking to your exercise plan. Plus, exercising with a friend is a great way to keep you motivated.

Small Group Sessions – 4 per group maximum

Maybe you have a social butterfly on your hands and they have to do everything with a following. Then the Group Sessions would be perfect for them so they can.

Group training isn’t for everyone, especially the shy and quiet type and we get that. Sometimes we need a trainer to get back on track, sometimes it is to push you of your comfort zone and make you work harder. Whatever the case individual sessions would be the answer!

Making sure you feel comfortable and confident during your workout is important to ensure you get the most out of personal training and so many of us need a friend/partner/spouse to cheer us on!
